March towards Happiness

Happiness is one factor that motivates almost every one on this earth. But whatever you achieve, whatever you become, howsoever rich you may become, it is not worth it if you do not enjoy good healthy life. Conversely, to enjoy anything in life, that is, to be really happy you ought to have good health. So, first step to wards happiness is ‘good health’. This journey begins with good nutritious food. Avoid junk food always ab-initio! Second step towards good health is to have a regular walk and exercise…preferably in the morning before sunrise. But evening walk is reasonably good too. The point is to encourage the metabolism in the body to digest the food you have taken.

Today is the life of running around, of consumerism, of collecting mementos which may not be needed at all. You are continuously  bombarded with promos “buy now pay later”. You get numerous phone call to increase the limit of your credit cards as if it will also increase your income. And second step,  very important at that, towards happiness is to beware against these temptations. If you want to be happy in life always, learn to ‘cut your coat according to the cloth’ available. If you have an income of 100 units, spend only 99. The moment you start spending 101 against an earning of 100, you have laid the foundation for unhappy life! Learn to be contended in life.

These two steps, namely, good health and careful spending will keep you healthy and wealthy because wisdom you have already demonstrated!

I opened a book and in I strode. Now nobody can find me.

If we were having coffee…

I would tell you a lot of things!

glimmer of happiness 🙂

… I’d tell you that I got this pretty photo from ‘http://stocksnap.io/‘. It’s one of my go-to site when looking for pretty stock images. 😉

… I’d tell you I’m still alive, yes, even after not posting anything for 20+ days. 😂 But I still read some of your posts, though. It’s just with work and commute going home, I’d rather want to shower, eat and sleep immediately. And that my life had been uneventful. Haha!

Ignorance is Bliss

Is it? I remember having read an essay with this title long back, when I was in school. I have forgotten the name of the author but it was a great name. One of the arguments he gave supporting the assertion was that how difficult it would be to pass time, or to live if we knew that we are going to die on a given date/time! Although we know that one day we have to do die, the ignorance of the exact date and time makes it a non relevant information. I agree with the author that knowing exact time would make our lives (for most people) really miserable.

Yet, like all “truth” this is also true only relatively. Ignorance compared with general knowledge cannot be bliss. Ignorance about the food that we eat can lead to disaster. While ignorance about the existence (or otherwise) of God may not really harm us bot ignorance about the ill effects of tobacco/alcohol can play havoc with our health and life and relationships! Ignorance about the emotional status of our near and dear ones can ruin the relationships and social fabric. Knowledge may not provide  as much power as is believed but it does give us a chance to take relevantly wise decisions. Remember the earlier ignorance about the nature and natural events like rain and earthquake! Knowledge has made our life comfortable . No?

So let us try to to gain knowledge without believing the knowledge is the panacea for our problems. Ignorance mat really be bliss in some cases! Gain knowledge to know which ignorance is Bliss. GOD BLESS ALL!

War is not a solution to any problem!

Politicians make the gullible people believe that war is glamorous but no body cares for those who lose their dear ones in the war! This is done by politicians everywhere, even in the most powerful nation of the world…Look at the rhetoric of Trump in United States!

Developing and poor countries have more intense  sense of honour and shame! Actually their self image is too weak to ignore so called hurts. So their noise is shriller. Politicians get the occasion to bake their bread.  We must ask the politicians as to why they don’t send their wards to serve the Bharat Mata or any other mother land?

War does not solve any problem. It only spreads misery and pain all around. So let us be wise , shun the rhetoric and avoid war at all costs, even if it seems to be national pride!

FLOWERS VS HUMANS

Blossoming flowers,

Swaying in the cool breeze

Emit and

Spread fragrance

Far and wide

Silently!

Boasting humans

Shaking to their own tunes

Emit stink and

Try to stop winds

From spreading the stink

Of their misdeeds

Noisily!!

How strange?

The brain,

Dubious bench-mark of

Distinctive superiority

Turns out to be

The cause of

Every misery!

How I wish

Men were too

Sans brains!

Nature would be safer

No risk,

Whatsoever!!!
